The sartorial 3.1 Phillip Lim collection revealed the essential colours of men’s new wardrobe and after few seasons of minimalist shapes, cuts and patterns, Paris is now looking towards oversized but wise designs. Phillip Lim understood it as well, providing his menswear silhouettes with denim and navy outfits with a hint of sportswear, but also readjusting the notions of preppy/comfortable ensembles. Held in the Galerie de Minéralogie, the Spring/Summer 2016 offering showcased a series of men, walking along the catwalk with shades of blue coupled with fresh hues of white and yellow. Here comes the sun.
Everyone in Paris, including Phillip Lim, now knows that blue is the warmest colour. The designer decided to prove his point once again, for the 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring/Summer 2016 fashion show held during the Fashion Week.
