On the occasion of Paris Fashion Week, Olivier Rousteing left no room for doubt: he loves women. And through his much-anticipated Balmain’s Fall/Winter 2015 fashion show, he thoroughly claimed and communicated this love. He loves their traits, he loves their high waists and he loves discovering again and again the assets of their mindsets and bodies.
Through the detailed laces of a black jacket and flared jumpsuits, Rousteing revealed the passionate side of feminine wardrobes in Balmain’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection. Releasing the shoulders for an oversized effect, the designer sharpened the lines of excess. Restraining the ensembles with a series of gargantuan violet, yellow or blue belts, Rousteing also divided the silhouettes in two: his now well-known signature.
Amongst the different highlights of the show, Jourdan Dunn crossed the catwalk in an overall purple and red ensemble, covering the features of her body, revealing the secrets of her feminine silhouette. Amazon-like Alessandra Ambrosio, 33, made her triomphal entry during Rousteing’s parade: the arms concealed behind a long-sleeved black top, the model made quite a bold statement, wearing a flounced orange and turquoise dress. A new mosaic of glittering and bold colours has just become our new love.
