Lanvin and elegance are defined in the same way: “the state of great comfort and extravagant living.”
Lucas Ossendrijver made sure of that with the maison’s latest collection, nothing that “We always set luxury too high. Now men are on their bikes or on the metro or using Uber. They don’t wear a suit, or if they do, it’s different, with sneakers, and sleeves pushed up.” And with that, elegance and every day activity transfused together creating one of the more charming collections for the upcoming Spring/Summer season.
With sleeves pushed up and with tattooed models on the move, what was seen in sheer sleeved jackets and the raw topstitching and coupled unthreading was an idea of business and pleasure where pleasure took the upper-hand. A touch of the rock and roll attitude in presentation allowed for an already audaciously stunning collection to take on an audacious level of elegance in which only Lanvin could relish.
